About the Presenters

Carol B. Aslanian is founder and president of Aslanian Market Research. She is a national authority on the characteristics and learning patterns of adult and post-traditional undergraduate and graduate students. She has made hundreds of presentations and has authored numerous articles and reports on the topic. For more than 20 years, she worked at the College Board in support of adult learning services. Ms. Aslanian has led market research projects for more than 300 colleges, universities and educational agencies.

Dr. David L. Clinefelter’s career spans all levels of education, from K-12 to higher education. Between 2011 and 2016, Dr. Clinefelter served as the Chief Academic Officer at Learning House. He began his career at the postsecondary level as a professor at the University of Nebraska Omaha and lecturer at the Ohio State University. He served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and then President of Graceland University from 1991-2002. He made the move to for-profit higher education in 2002 when he joined Kaplan University as Provost, overseeing significant growth in enrollment, programs, and faculty. Dr. Clinefelter joined Walden University in 2010 as Chief Academic Officer and stayed there until joining Learning House.
