About the Presenters

TJ Cafferty has been employed in higher education since 2006. Currently, he is a Partnership Liaison with Concordia University, St. Paul, working to build and manage partnerships within the state of Minnesota. Much of his time is spent on the development of strategic relationships within the community college setting, working closely with partner institutions to create seamless transfer pathways for students. He earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University and a master’s certificate in higher education administration from North Park University. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in leadership and management from Concordia University.

Doug Simmons is the Director of Field Operations at Learning House. He leads a team of Education Sales Representatives focused on helping universities grow their enrollment through effective partnerships. Doug has over 13 years of experience within the higher education sector and specializes in developing university partnerships with community colleges, government agencies and military organizations. Doug is an accomplished leader in the business development field, building professional sales teams to maximize results within an organization. He is committed to developing and training individuals at a high level to reach their highest potential. Doug has a master’s in management with an emphasis in higher education leadership from Kaplan University.
