In the fall of 2006, approximately 20% of students seeking higher education were taking at least one online class, according to the Sloan Foundation Report. Eduventures, an education research company, reports that the number of students in online and/or blended programs is expected to grow by 33% per year for the next several years. The Sloan Survey of Online Learning (2007) found that more than 67 % of all higher education institutions offer at least one online or blended course, and 35 % offer one or more complete online degree programs.
The competition for acquiring new students in higher education is already fierce. The colleges or universities that do not provide Online Learning options will increasingly find themselves squeezed out of the marketplace. To offer online learning opportunities for traditional and nontraditional students is no longer an option; in today’s higher education environment, online education is essential for majority of colleges and universities.
The Chronicle of Higher Education mentioned numerous times that Learning House has a “head start” on helping colleges keep up with the “exploding demand” for online courses and online degree programs.
Learning House is the perfect partner for developing and implementing total online education solutions for colleges and universities.
