A comprehensive approach to student authentication
Acxiom Identify-X™, powered by Learning House, provides a robust solution that not only protects against academic dishonesty in the online classroom but also against financial aid fraud. The product integrates with popular learning management system (LMS) platforms, including Moodle and Blackboard, and complies with the recommendation created by the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) to guarantee the identities of online students.
Acxiom Identify-X™ helps schools securely validate student identity by matching a student’s directory information (name and address) to the Acxiom database of public, publicly available and nonpublic proprietary records. These records are used to populate challenge questions, which the student must answer to validate his or her identity. Unlike self-reported data, such as a mother’s maiden name or favorite color, the product generates questions to authenticate a student’s identity without prior input from the student, which ensures he or she cannot share his or her responses and circumvent the identity verification process.
Customizable Exam Strategy
Acxiom Identify-X™ is highly configurable. Learning House collaborates with schools to determine an exam strategy, including the number of questions to ask each student, as well as whether students can proceed if questions are answered incorrectly and the frequency of validating student identity.
