Learning House houses its servers at Peak 10 Tier 1 Data Center. The hosting of its learning management systems (LMS) on its IBM servers, allows Learning House to provide a set of very unique services to small colleges, businesses, and organizations. Learning House can place a client on a level playing field with its major competitors by providing the best equipment and software to conduct business without any capital outlay. These savings are substantial to the client.

Server Operations and Performance
The Tier 1 Data Center is located within 5 minutes from the Learning House, Inc. business offices. Learning House, Inc. and Peak 10 employ 24/7 year-round support personnel to maintain and manage the servers and the Tier 1 Data Center.

Server performance is monitored 24/7 year-round. The account team is able to monitor a variety of criteria including CPU utilization, disk usage, bandwidth, hits on system, testing of Web port, and up to 40 monitor tests. Our servers and network equipment are fully scalable and can be replaced quickly.

The operations are load balanced via multiple carriers and utilize multiple Tier 1 carriers to increase service availability and balance traffic coming into and out of the data center. The average uptime per month for clients on our server system is over 99.7%.

Network
The network consists of high-end Foundry, Juniper, Cisco, and Extreme Networks components and has safeguards in place in the event of a core switch or router failure. The approach for this fail-safe architecture is through a fully meshed router configuration while utilizing OSPF and HSRP protocols. We also BGP connect to multiple carrier networks, which always ensures high performance and highly available Internet network uptimes for enhanced client connectivity. Within the center, the data center has already been pre-wired for high-speed category-7 high-speed transmission wiring to support gigabit Ethernet technology. Our ability to increase connectivity as needed is strengthened by the fact that we utilize multiple national Tier1 carriers. Unlike data centers limited by utilizing single carriers, we can provide high availability connectivity to the Internet and easily keep pace with capacity demands.
