More than two thousand voices speaking in languages from around the globe filled the Intercontinental Hotel in Berlin, Germany during the last week of November 2006, and while the dialects were different, all conversations dealt with the same topic - the future of online education.
Online Educa Berlin 2006, the 12th international conference on technology supported learning and training, took place from November 29 to December 1, 2006. Among the record-breaking number of participants were two representatives from Learning House, Inc., who attended to learn more about latest developments and coming trends in the field of online education.

When Learning House, Inc. initially develops a course, we use a set of standards that enable our courses to be easily customized by the client. A large part of customization for many clients is textbook selection. Although our courses are designed to be comprehensive and succinct, some institutions want to accompany a course with a textbook. At the onset of development, we intentionally identify a widely used and/or respected textbook for use with the course. This identification often makes it easier on our clients to see what primary resource was used in the development of the content. It also makes it clearer to see where textbooks are and should be referenced in the course which is in the assignments area of the Learning Management System (LMS).
