I grew up in a big city in Romania. In my culture, education is highly valued. I remember dreaming about being a teacher when I was only 10 years old. While I ultimately chose a career in the entertainment business, I also had the opportunity to teach for few years, and I could feel my dream becoming a reality. Then I got married and moved to the United States and had to adapt to a new culture. I continued to value education and personal and professional development, and as soon as I had the opportunity to go back to school, I started weighing my options and seriously considering the idea of being a college student again. I’d always had great respect for people who are able to further their education while keeping pace with work, family and other social commitments. However, I was a bit unsure of how I could juggle all those responsibilities successfully.
