Learning House welcomes 12 new partners this year
Continuing its growth trend, The Learning House, Inc. (TLH) is developing new partnerships with colleges and universities across the United States to help expand their academic offerings through online education in the 2009-2010 academic year and beyond.
Learning House is proud to welcome new partners into the online college education family. In partnership with Learning House, colleges and universities will be empowered to succeed in offering online courses and programs that serve the underlying demand for high-quality and convenient learning. The support and array of services that Learning House provides will help our partners to not only enter the online education market but to also strive to be the best.
Learning House is pleased to announce the following new partners year-to-date: Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. (TX), Shorter College (GA), Lon Morris (TX), Chester College of New England (NH), Emory & Henry College (VA), Friends University (KS), York College (NE), Valparaiso University (IN), Southern Nazarene University (OK), Ancilla College (IN), Quincy University (IL) and Valley Forge Military Academy and College (PA).
The partner schools listed below have already established an online presence on Learning House’s proprietary Web directory – eLearnPortal.com – and are currently in various stages of online degree program development and implementation.
Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. (Universal®): Founded in 1959, Universal is a global trip support services provider that serves clients at every point along their trips, virtually anywhere they fly. The Universal Aircraft Dispatcher Online Course is designed to provide students with specialized domestic and international aviation knowledge to effectively identify and interpret critical flight issues.
Shorter College: Founded in 1873 and located in Rome, Georgia, Shorter College (SC) is a private, liberal arts college with a legacy of academic excellence and a dynamic Christian heritage. The online education offerings currently focus on General Education courses offered during the summer and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Sports Management.
Lon Morris College: Lon Morris College (LMC) is a school with a proud Methodist tradition and deep roots dating back to 1854, which makes it the oldest two-year college in Texas. LMC provides the first two years of a quality liberal arts education in a Christian environment. LMC Online offers General Education and other major-related online courses extending over multiple disciplines such as business, communication, music, computer science, sports and psychology.
Chester College of New England: Chester College of New England (CCNE) was founded as White Pines College in 1965 and has a long tradition of liberal arts education with majors in Secretarial Science, Business Management and General Studies. CCNE’s online programs include General Education courses and a Certificate in Creative Writing.
Other new partners such as Emory & Henry College, Friends University, York College, Valparaiso University, Southern Nazarene University, Ancilla College, Quincy University and Valley Forge Military Academy and College are currently in various stages of online degree program design, development and implementation. They are working enthusiastically toward building a solid online presence and launching their first online education offering in partnership with the Learning House.
With the addition of these new partnerships, Learning House continues to evolve as a company and as an authority in the online education arena. TLH leadership and staff work around-the-clock to ensure that each partner school receives only the highest-quality services, whether they are new to online education or well-established and experienced.
