Overview
Learning House partner schools are provided with a total online campus solution, including course development and publishing. Our publishing specialists work tirelessly to ensure that every course is of the highest quality and value.
Learning House develops online courses for undergraduate, graduate, professional development and certification programs. All newly developed courses undergo a comprehensive review to determine course quality based on industry recognized standards of course quality.
Learning House offers four ways to create online courses:
TLH Library Courses
The Learning House library contains hundreds of online courses that have been developed by qualified subject matter experts who are independently engaged to create the course material. Our library courses feature scholarly text, exams, assignments, references, discussion board questions and graphics. Some course content is enhanced with video and Flash.
Our library also offers Wiley Content Courses. Designed for maximum flexibility, these courses are complete with assessment tools and enhancements that include video, audio and reusable learning objects to address various learning styles.
Wiley Online Courses - Through a partnership with Wiley publishing, Learning House has created online courses based on the Wiley catalog. Wiley Online Courses provide students quality, concise content and tested teaching and learning resources. Wiley features some of the leading authors in higher education and over 200 years experience in providing the knowledge to empower generations of students.
Textbook Companion Course
To accompany your institution's required textbook, Learning House personnel will team with your faculty to design an online course with original lesson objectives, introductions and discussion board questions. Publisher resources such as PowerPoint presentations and test banks can be added to the course with proper permission from the copyright owner. Using this course development approach, faculty can create an engaging online course built upon a trusted resource while using one platform.
Client-Written Courses
Learning House will provide a Client Writer’s Guide and course template, enabling members of your faculty to create original course content to be offered online. Your school will send the materials to a Learning House publishing specialist, who will, in turn, work with a team of instructional media designers to create engaging online courses and place them on the learning management system.
TLH-Written Courses
Learning House will contract a subject matter expert to write original content for a course requested by your institution. Once the Learning House team has completed the course design, it will be placed on your school’s learning management system. Learning House staff will work directly with your faculty to ensure that the course content meets your curriculum needs and all quality standards.
Regardless of which option you choose we have specialists to work with you and your faculty throughout the process. We collaborate with the instructor to ensure the course is customized to meet the needs of your institution and the students it serves.
