Online Education Infrastructure Development and Management
LMS
A significant part of online course delivery involves the infrastructure necessary to host, support and deliver online content. Learning House provides, manages, customizes and hosts the Moodle learning management system (LMS). An LMS is the technology platform that administrators, registrars, instructors and students use to obtain, deliver and exchange online learning information.
As a complement to Moodle, Learning House also provides a synchronous learning management system that utilizes live audio and video – LiveClassroom (powered by Wimba) – to allow instructors to create a real-time learning environment.
Data Center
The LMS and all client course content is hosted in a secure, world class, nationally recognized, tier-one data center. The data center is engineered with multiple levels of physical security, network intrusion detection and prevention, unlimited Internet bandwidth from multiple diverse carriers, uninterruptible power, diesel generator backup power, redundant HVAC systems, fire suppression and around-the-clock monitoring and management.
All data is regularly backed up for disaster recovery purposes and archived for future reference. As a Learning House client, you can be assured that your students and instructors will have on-demand access to quality applications and that your content is secure and available.
Since Learning House continuously invests in the latest LMS technology, system infrastructure, and application development, our clients have no need to invest in these areas.
