Mac Bornhauser
Mac Bornhauser joined The Learning House, Inc. in April 2008 as Director of Business Development. His primary focus is leading the Sales and Client Development team in the recruitment and education of new Learning House partner institutions. Mr. Bornhauser is always happy to visit new campuses, provide demonstrations of Learning House services and speak to any interested parties on the subject of online learning.
After working for many years in a large corporate environment, Mr. Bornhauser sought a more entrepreneurial atmosphere through which he would be able to make a positive contribution to a growing company. He met David Richardson, the new CEO of Learning House, and was impressed by the passion Mr. Richardson expressed when speaking about online learning and his firm’s opportunities. As it appeared, Mr. Bornhauser had found the perfect match, so he officially joined Learning House shortly thereafter.
Prior to joining Learning House, Mr. Bornhauser served as the Vice President/Equity Syndicate Manager for Hilliard Lyons in Louisville, Kentucky from 1999 to 2007. Over eight years, he managed or co-managed several hundred offerings and grossed $1 billion in sales of equity IPOs and secondary equity offerings. In addition to his Syndicate duties, Mr. Bornhauser served as the Marketing Coordinator for Hilliard’s Senbanc Fund, and after a complete overhaul of all marketing materials and campaigns, he helped grow the fund by almost 1,000% in less than two years.
From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Bornhauser served as the Vice President of Finance for Coalborn Coastal Homes in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Bornhauser secured preferred building contracts for Coalborn with several resorts and gated communities throughout Northeast Florida such as Amelia Island Plantation.
Mac earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida in 1995 and an MBA in Finance and Securities Analysis from the University of Florida in 1998. Mr. Bornhauser also attended Cambridge University International Summer School in Cambridge, England in 1994 where he studied Economics.
