Daniel Kalef

Currently serving as Vice President of Client Relations, Daniel Kalef has been with The Learning House, Inc. since July 2008. Prior to joining the company, he served as Vice President of Marketing and Development for the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Kalef holds undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Public Speaking/Theater Arts, as well as a Juris Doctorate degree in Law, which he earned through joint programs with New York University and Yeshiva University in New York City.

Mr. Kalef has worked as a practicing attorney in New York and Chicago, and has also held the position of Manager at a nursing home and assisted living facility in Milwaukee. He was co-founder of both an import/export company in Eastern Europe and an Internet-based technology company in Columbus, Ohio.

Mr. Kalef has worked as a fundraising executive for a national education reform think tank in Los Angeles and was the Chief Executive of the foundation arm of the second largest social service agency serving people with developmental disabilities in Illinois. Prior to joining the Muhammad Ali Center, Mr. Kalef was the co-founder/owner of Icarus Associates, a regional business development and marketing consulting firm with offices in Louisville, Kentucky; Nashville, Tennessee; and Columbus, Ohio.

Mr. Kalef is a member of the Board of Directors of the Next Theater Company in Chicago and the Board of Directors of St. Francis High School in Louisville. He also serves on the Who’s Who in Black Louisville Advisory Board and on a number of charitable committees in Kentucky, Illinois and Ohio.
