Dr. Susan C. Aldridge
Senior Vice President for Online Learning
Dr. Susan C. Aldridge is a Senior Fellow at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) in Washington, DC and was recently appointed Senior Vice President for Online Learning at Drexel University. She is writing a book for university presidents regarding the transformation of higher education, which is expected to publish fall of 2013. As the former President of the University of Maryland University College, Dr. Aldridge brings extensive leadership and management knowledge to AASCU and many of the 430 member universities.
For 17 years, Dr. Aldridge has held university executive leadership positions in some of the largest universities in the United States. She has led entrepreneurial global campuses and provided the vision, thought leadership and strategic direction for academic quality, increased access, sustainable growth strategies, developing student analytics and quality service metrics, while receiving the highest accreditation reviews. Dr. Aldridge received her Master’s Degree and Ph.D. from the University of Colorado and her Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado Women’s College.
Dr. David Clinefelter
Chief Academic Officer
The Learning House, Inc.
Dr. David Clinefelter is the Chief Academic Officer at The Learning House, Inc., in Louisville, Ky., where he develops the highest academic tools, training and strategies for the company’s online partners. Dave’s 30-year career in education spans all levels, from K-12 to higher education.
At the postsecondary level, Dr. Clinefelter began as a professor at the University of Nebraska, Omaha and a lecturer at The Ohio State University before he became vice president of academic affairs at Graceland University, a liberal arts institution in Iowa. From 1996 to 1997, Dr. Clinefelter served as an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow at Northwest Missouri State University. At the conclusion of his fellowship year, he became president of Graceland University and served in that capacity for six years. In 2002, Dr. Clinefelter joined Kaplan University as provost, and he joined Walden University in 2010 as Chief Academic Officer.
